Peterborough area man has been charged with child exploitation and rape by Lincolnshire police following investigation into Lincoln incident
A man has appeared in court on charges of rape and child sexual exploitation.
Zaheer Hussain, 43, of Newark Avenue, Dogsthorpe, in Peterborough, is facing a total of seven offences relating to an investigation into the reported sexual exploitation of girls in Lincoln.
Lincolnshire Police officers have been conducting an investigation over the past five months into reports of men travelling from outside the county for sexual gain.
He has been charged with:
- Two counts of child sexual exploitation
- Two counts of human trafficking
- Two counts of rape
- Perverting the course of justice
Following a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Saturday, he was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on May 24. The force has only issued an update today (Wednesday, May 1).
A 49-year-old man also arrested in connection with this investigation remains on police bail, while enquiries continue.
