Man charged with manslaughter following death at the weekend in Lincoln

A man has been charged with manslaughter following a death over the weekend.

Thirty-seven-year-old Max Skidmore has been remanded in custody, following the incident which took place on Carholme Road, Lincoln on Sunday (December 8).

Yesterday, Lincolnshire Police named 55-year-old Eddie Roberts as the victim in the incident.

Mr Skidmore is set to appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday, December 11).

Police are continuing their appeal for witnesses and are especially keen to hear from anyoen who saw a white Mercedes X-class pick up truck between 9pm and 11.30pm on Sunday, December 8 in the following areas: University Bridge, Carholme Road, Gresham Street, Newlyn Street West, Charlesworth Street, Wellington Street and Moor Street.

“We ask that people check their CCTV, doorbell, dashcam, or mobile phone footage so that we can piece together what happened,” a police stsatement read.

“If you have any information that can assist with our investigation, you can ring 101 quoting incident 425 of December 8.”
