East Midlands Railway services disrupted between Lincoln Central and Newark Castle stations due to signalling fault
Rail passengers are facing disruption and cancellation due to a signalling fault.
The service disruption is being felt for trains due to run between Lincoln Central and Newark Castle stations – and the issue is expected for the rest of the day.
East Midlands Railway says it has been caused by a fault with the signalling system between Collingham and Newark.
It is disrupting the operators trains on the Newark to Lincoln Central route and the Leicester, Lincoln and Grimsby route.
A statement on EMR’s website said: “Network Rail have teams on site, looking into the fault they are waiting for a replacement generator which is en route, they are expecting the problem to continue for the rest of the day.”
