PC Coaches launches new bus services between Lincoln, Louth and Mablethorpe to better serve villages

A coach company has introduced new bus services to give people more travel options in the county.

PC Coaches revealed new routes between Lincoln, Louth and Mablethorpe, which came into effect on April 15, to better serve the surrounding villages.

Funded by Lincolnshire County Council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan, the new bus 50A journey will operate under the £2 fare cap.

Coun Richard Davies said: “I am delighted that PC Coaches is running this extra route and will be making a very real difference for those who want to get about by bus.”

The services will benefit from the company’s new state-of-the-art low-emission buses with Wi-Fi, air conditioning and at-seat USB charging on-board.

“We originally took over the commercial operation of service 50 between Lincoln, Wragby, Louth and Mablethorpe in June 2023 because, when we discovered that there would potentially no longer be a direct bus between Lincoln and Louth, we were naturally concerned for these communities,” said Stephen Bryce, managing director at PC Coaches of Lincoln.

As part of the improvements, extra Saturday journeys will be put in place, giving customers a later bus back.

“We are really excited to be working with our partners Lincolnshire County Council to introduce the next stage in the development of this important corridor, which sees new 50A journeys from Monday to Saturday giving more communities such as Saltfleetby All Saints, Manby and Theddlethorpe St Helens a direct and regular bus service,” added Stephen.
