Uppingham comedy shows raise money for a project to record a Rutland song and video
A comedy show raised £1,900 towards a tourism project.
Uppingham actor Henry Dawe joined forces with Ben Walsh, Cami Carter, Emily Jane Brooks and Sandy Thompson to stage two performances of Clued Upp at Uppingham Theatre last month.
Money donated by the audiences will go towards a promotional video for Rutland.
Henry is supporting a project which will see Rutland’s Youth Choir record a song for Rutland accompanied by a video to showcase the county’s best bits.
Henry said: “We would very much like to thank all the local people who supported the shows and contributed to the fundraising, as well as all the publicists and individuals who helped towards the shows in any way.
“We are delighted by the amount raised. Now the work to produce the music video can be set in motion.”
