A-levels 2025: Uppingham School sixth formers keep up standards
Just over half of sixth formers’ A-levels were graded A* or A at their school.
A fifth of subjects taken by Uppingham School pupils were A* graded and 97% were graded C or above.
Dr Richard Maloney, head teacher, said: “At the end of a challenging year for the independent education sector, it is heartening to be reminded of what really matters.
“The performance by our upper sixth pupils at A-level is simply superb.
“This year group has been an inspiration across every facet of Uppingham life, and lived our holistic philosophy as fully as is possible.
“At the same time, they found the intellectual energy and desire to produce A-level results that sit amongst the very best in the country.
“A fabulous achievement which reminds us that academic excellence does not come at the expense of creativity, community spirit, and the sheer enjoyment of what our school has to offer.”
Pupils will go on to study subjects such as maths, economics, chemical engineering, law, architecture and fine art at a variety of universities, including Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Durham, St Andrews, University College London, London School of Economics, Exeter, and King’s College London.
Results at Uppingham have remained consistent with the previous two years, according to the school.
