Leicestershire Police and firefighters called to Uppingham Market Place




Emergency services were called to reports that a cash machine had been damaged and set on fire.

Police were called just before 1am today (November 29) to Uppingham Market Place, where a cash machine had been damaged.

They were joined by firefighters following reports that the machine had been set alight.

A group of people who were seen in the area left before the police arrived.

No cash was taken from the machine.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said that enquiries into the incident are continuing and no one has been arrested.
