GCSE results 2024: Catmose College pupils shine in academic and vocational courses
Pupils at a school that is ‘outstanding’ according to inspectors have been awarded high-flying results too.
Teenagers at Catmose College in Oakham achieved good academic results in their GCSEs and in vocational courses too, and will go on to study for A-levels and apprenticeships.
Principal Stuart Williams said: “When Ofsted judged us to be outstanding in March, it was not based on our outcomes but on our whole ethos and approach to the wider education of our pupils.
“We care passionately about developing the whole child and the results are the stepping stone for pupils from all walks of life to their many and varied next steps.
“We are as proud of the passes that allow pupils to commence vocational courses and apprenticeships as we are of those who will go on to study A-levels.
“In fact, some of our most notable triumphs are pupils whose individual circumstances could have been a barrier to their future success, but instead their resilience has shone through.”
He went on to congratulate all pupils on their results and the teachers and support staff who have helped them realise their success.
Pupils with particularly good results at the school are Eve Bradley, Nanditha Raghavan, Izabela Clark, Emma Duckering, George Sloan, Sadhbh Monaghan, Polly Greening and Lewis Clarke.
Pupils whose progress has been outstanding are George Sloan, Daniel McCrudden, Nanditha Raghavan, Jessica Buckle, Georgina Buxton, Emma Duckering, Grace Busby, Antonia Hall and Lewis Clarke.
