Leicestershire Senior League side Cottesmore AFC are looking for a new manager
Cottesmore are looking for a new manager for their Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division side.
The Rutland club have parted company with first team managers John and Will Rawdon by mutual consent due to increased work and personal commitments.
The duo took charge of the club at the start of this season and Cottesmore finished the campaign in ninth place.
A club statement said: "The club wishes to place on record its thanks to both John and Will for their hard work this year with victory in the Rutland Cup in pre-season and a respectable mid-table league finish was achieved in what was a challenging first season.
"The club are now inviting applications for the vacant manager's role for the 24-25 season. The addition of new players to the existing squad is a priority and the current coaching/ match day team are willing to stay and support the new manager if required."
Former first team boss and club stalwart Rich Giblin is part of the current coaching/matchday team after stepping down from the management helm the previous season.
He said: "We have all parted on good terms and we thank John and Will for what they did last season.
"It has been a challenge with player availability but there has been some good stuff in winning the Rutland Cup and we weren't a million miles away from the top six given we drew nine games which is by far the most in the league.
"There were lots of positives and they have been sensible about where they can take the club moving forward."
The nucleus of the current squad have indicated their intention to stay at Westray Park next term with the club hoping any new manager will also be able to bolster the playing ranks.
Giblin added: "It has put us in a similar situation to where we were this time last year.
"We want someone who fancies the challenge and who is prepared to get involved. You need someone who is keen at this level.
"We're not looking at racing into a decision but, at the same time, it would be nice to know where we're going.
"We need to concentrate on getting the right person in and cementing ourselves for two or three years as a solid Premier Division side and then we'll see where we move forward from there."
