Uppingham swimmer Ethan Soppett-Moss competes in the Swim England Winter National Championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield
A record-breaking run of form has continued for Uppingham swimmer Ethan Soppett-Moss.
The 15-year-old was competing in the Swim England Winter National Championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
Soppett-Moss smashed three county and four regional records as well as a tied age group English record in the 50m butterfly over the four consecutive days of swimming.
The Corby Amateur Swimming Club ace had chosen to swim in eight events despite qualifying for 10.
He was competing in the junior category for Under 18s and faced fast competition against the nation's finest with some amazing swims at the championships which featured English, European and world best times.
The finals awaited those ranked in the top 30 after the heats and they were categorised into junior finals, men's B and men's A.
Soppett-Moss made both finals in the 50m and 100m butterfly having produced fantastic swims in the heats.
Both provided East Midland record swims which earned him a place in the open men's B final which was an amazing feat for a teenager.
It was here that he equalled the open 50m butterfly English junior best time after touching the wall in the sprint in a time of 24.09 which matched the effort of Commonwealth Youth Games medallist Nick Finch from the 2021 event.
Soppett-Moss' strong swim saw him go away with the junior bronze medal in the event.
