Goals from Federica, Libby and Polly – who netted twice – secured their spot in the final eight of this prestigious schools' competition.

The squad now hopes to repeat the success of last year's team, who reached the finals at Lee Valley Hockey Centre, the home of England Hockey.

With their unwavering team spirit and determination, the girls are eager to continue their journey towards national success.

The run had started in the group stages where Oakham were pitted against Bromsgrove, Kings High from Warwick, The Perse and Solihull.

Bromsgrove topped the group after four successive victories, including a 1-0 triumph over Oakham who secured second spot.

They were edged out 2-1 in a close contest with the Perse but defeated Kings High 4-1 and were 3-1 winners over Solihull to take the runners-up spot on goal difference.

Oakham will travel to Surbiton High for their quarter-final clash on Wednesday, February 26.

St Georges have already booked their place in the semi-finals after beating Bromsgrove.

The other quarter-final clashes will see Clifton host Marlborough with Wellington hosting Epsom.
