Oakham Rugby Club make a winning start to their new season.
Oakham Rugby Club's season kicked off under new coach Dale Corner with a bonus point win against Brackley after scoring seven tries in the process.
The scoreline of 46-5 gave supporters hope for the coming season in Counties 2 Midlands East (South).
With a half-time score of 19-0, the big question was could Oakham keep playing open rugby in the second half.
However, all fears were dispelled as they scored early tries and only conceded a late try that showed that the defence was solid.
Brackley's big and heavier forwards looked threatening early on but Oakham's speed in the backs proved the difference between the sides with man of the match Will Andrews scoring 21 points.
Oakham travel to Dunstable on Saturday.
