Under the guidance of coach Ezra Smart, who provided specialised training in preparation for the tournament, the players' dedication and hard work were evident in their execution on the field.

Head coach Rhys Grieve expressed his admiration for the players, who fully embraced the fast-paced nature of the sevens game.

He also extended his gratitude to Ezra for his commitment to training the team and for his organisational efforts on the day of the tournament.

Oakham's defensive prowess was notable, as they conceded only two tries across the five matches they played, a testament to their strong teamwork and strategic play.

In the final, Oakham faced Lincoln, a team they had previously encountered in the group stage, which had proven to be their toughest challenge, ending in a narrow 15-12 victory.

Harry Dalby scored three tries while Owen Hicks capped off the game with the final try, leading to a decisive 20-0 win.

The celebration culminated at Welford Road where captain Louis German proudly lifted the trophy in front of a cheering crowd during half-time of the match between the Tigers and Newcastle Falcons.
