Lincolnshire Police launch murder investigation after body is found at Gibraltar Point near Skegness

Police have launched a murder investigation after discovering a woman’s body near Skegness.

The woman was found near Gibraltar Point and is believed to be Petra Ross, who was reported as missing on Friday.

Officers say that a 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “While formal identification has yet to take place, we believe this to be the body of 23-year-old Petra Ross, who was reported missing on Friday 19 January.

“Her family have been made aware. Inquiries are ongoing.”
