Police arrest 19-year-old man for serious assault in Skegness which has left man in hospital




A 50-year-old man is in hospital in ‘life-threatening condition’ after a serious assault.

Police officers were called out to the incident at a property on Albany Road, Skegness at 8.26pm last night (Thursday July 3).

A 19-year-old was arrested for grievous bodily harm in the early hours of this morning (Friday) and remains in police custody whilst being questioned by detectives.

The officers who discovered the victim, initially treated him at the scene and later handed him over to East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) paramedics.

He now remains in a life threatening condition at hospital.

A spokesperson from the force said: “We are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

“We will remain on scene and in the surrounding area today conducting initial enquiries. This will include specialist forensics investigators as well as our detectives and local officers.”

Lincolnshire Police officers are currently at the scene and ask for anyone with any information to call 101 and quote incident number number 514 of July 3.
