Skegness road blocked by fallen tree

A fallen tree is currently blocking a town road.

Lincolnshire Police have warned that Richmond Drive, in Skegness, is likely to be closed for ‘a couple of hours’ due to the tree.

Heavy wind and rain battered much of Lincolnshire last night and a Met Office yellow weather warning remains in place.

A force social media post states: “A fallen tree is currently blocking Richmond Drive outside Lidl in Skegness and the road will be closed for a couple of hours as a result.

“We continue to receive reports of blocked roads due to heavy rain and strong winds. Please drive safely and drive to the conditions.”
