Motorcyclist dies after crash on A15 between Sleaford and Lincoln which involved an HGV





A 17-year-old motorcyclist has died after a crash involving an HGV on a main road yesterday (Tuesday).

Emergency services were called out to a collision on the A15 at Leasingham near Sleaford just after 5.35pm yesterday.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman explained: “Two vehicles were involved, a motorcycle being ridden by a 17-year-old man who sadly died at the scene of the collision. His family have been informed and they will be supported by specially trained officers.

“The motorcycle was being ridden on the A15 in the direction of Lincoln.

“The second vehicle involved was a Volvo HGV which was travelling towards Holdingham. The driver, a man in his 60s, wasn't seriously injured.

“We are appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who has dashcam of either vehicle or anyone who saw either of the vehicles prior to the collision. We would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to help them piece together what happened.
