Police tape off Sleaford home as ‘unexplained death’ is investigated

Police are investigating an ‘unexplained death’ after a man died at a town home this morning.

Officers have cordoned off a property at The Drive in Sleaford after being called out earlier today. The force control room received a call at 5.28am — with the police and ambulance service attending the scene.

A police spokesman said: “Sadly, the man was pronounced dead a short time after.

“We are in the early stages of our investigation and at this stage are treating the death as unexpected.

“Those in the local area can expect to see a police presence into the morning as we continue our enquiries, but there is not thought to be any wider risk to the public.

“We currently have a police cordon around the scene, and we ask members of the public to avoid the area whilst our officers carry out their enquiries.”
