Spalding XO Club to host Twisted Wonderland Family Rave brought by Untouched Global owner Marc Williams, who previously worked as a backing dancer for Kylie Minogue, George Michael and Take That
A ‘cocky’ bet lead to a career dancing behind big name pop stars like Kylie Minogue for the man who will be bringing a family rave to the area.
Marc Williams, from Spalding, appeared on television dance music programme The Hitman and Her hosted by Pete Waterman and Michaela Strachan, and has worked alongside artists such as George Michael, Take That and East 17.
His company, Global Untouched, is bringing Twisted Wonderland Family Rave to the XO club in Spalding on Easter Sunday which is a daytime rave for adults and kids to enjoy.
Marc said: “I am a bit cocky and I had a bet in a pub that I could walk into this TV late nightclub show.
“I got the audition and since then I have worked with Kylie, George Michael, Danni Minogue, East 17, Take That, Right Said Fred as a backing dancer.

Marc said: “ I have just finished a massive event with Ian Van Dahl and just got back from Ibiza with DJ Sigala.
“We do stuff all over the world including Egypt and Dubai and, once the summer comes, I live on a plane.
“I just work with everyone.”
The afternoon extravaganza offers the perfect opportunity for families to bond, all while enjoying the beats of Ibiza legends Kevin and Perry Official.
Marc, who used to run a clothes shop in the town, wants to bring the rave event for families to enjoy together.
He said: “It is a family event to show your kids what you used to do and briu everyone going out together.
“We still have the modern stuff in there and the music is going to be tailored for the people that are there.
“We play the music by ear and my DJs play the music they want to hear.”
The Spalding event will see the club transformed as dancers can step into what is billed as a ‘mesmerising wonderland’ featuring vibrant decor, energetic dancers, confetti cannons, robots, CO2 effects, and giveaways.
It is a great way for parents who have younger children who may not get a chance to go out and let their hair down and it starts at 2pm until 6pm.
Mr Williams said: “I put my experience into a venue and we do all of the production and lasers.
“We do everything that you would see in a nightclub.
“The club scene is really struggling so we are rethinking how to make things work and the day time events are working.”
The pandemic massively impacted the entertainment industry and Mr Williams is keen to encourage day time ravers to the event and is offering a competition to win a set of family tickets.
He said: “People don't drink alcohol as much as they used to so nightclubs have suffered.
“It is about moving with the times and this is another way of getting people out.”
Along with an inclusive club experience, music-lovers can rave as one in a whimsical world adorned with giant mushrooms, colourful flowers, and lively walkabout characters.
There will also be an Easter egg hunt around the club plus iconic Ibiza classics surrounded by blizzards of confetti and CO2 effects.
