Long Sutton students enjoy 'collapsed timetable' day

More than 650 students at University Academy Long Sutton took part in a 'collapsed timetable' day which saw 20 outside organisations and companies working alongside pupils to help them develop their knowledge and gain new skills.

As well as a cultural and fun sessions looking at Chinese culture and dance, Year 7 learnt about road and bike safety with the AAA Motorcycle Company plus an Anglian Water challenge which highlighted the infrastructure that goes into our water network. They also learnt essential First Aid skills.

Year 8 spent a session with Leicester University, helping them to start to prepare for their option choices, The Army Reserves from Lincoln ran three workshops and students also spent time with Careers in Sport.
