Lorry and car involved in collision on A17 at Saracen’s Head

The A17 has been shut following a crash.

Police have reported that the road has been closed following a collision involving a lorry and a car.

We understand that the A17 is closed in both directions from Peppermint roundabout and Common Road junction.

A force social media post stated: “We are currently at the scene of a serious collision involving a lorry and a car on the A17, Saracens Head. The road is blocked in both directions and we will be at the scene for some time.”

We understand that the air ambulance has been dispatched to the scene.
