Casualty taken to hospital after crash near University Academy Holbeach
Emergency services were called to a road traffic accident near a secondary school this morning (Friday).
The accident happened at around 7.50am outside University Academy Holbeach in Park Road.
Parents driving their children to school were caught in subsequent tailbacks caused by the accident.
A spokesman for East Midland Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 7.53am. The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision. We sent two double-crewed ambulances and one patient was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital.”
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue added: "We received a call at 7.54am from Lincolnshire Police to an RTC on Park Road in Holbeach. One crew from Spalding attended and used small tools to make the vehicles safe."
