Air ambulance attends Spalding town centre incident

An air ambulance was called out to an incident in Spalding this evening.

The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance was heard flying low over residents’ homes — and circled the town shortly before 8.30pm.

Moments later it landed in Victoria Street Car Park — and left shortly after 9pm.

Flight radar data showed that the craft left the town and headed westwards, before landing next at Nottingham Airport, to the south east of the city, at about 9.25pm.

The circumstances of tonight’s incident — and the full extent of the emergency services’ response — are not yet known, with Victoria Street car park said to have been cordoned off.
