Spalding Arts and Crafts Society members treated to demo by artist and illustrator

At their March meeting, Spalding Arts and Crafts Society members were treated to an excellent demonstration by artist and illustrator Pauline Hazelwood.

Pauline writes and illustrates true stories about narrow gauge railway engines.

She created a crowd watching scene purely from imagination, explaining that her next stage before publication would be to tweak it in Photoshop.

A couple of days after the meeting she emailed members a copy of the more polished version – both can be seen on the right.

The club’s next art exhibition in Spalding Library is April 25 to May 26.

The next meeting will be an Acrylic and Pastel demonstration by Peter Wood on Tuesday, April 5, at Pinchbeck Village Hall, Knight St, PE11 3RB, 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Members £3, visitors £5, doors open at 7pm.
