Organisers put under pressure as bands drop out of new music festival in Spalding
A band has stepped in to play at a new music festival, after organisers were put under pressure.
‘Ayscoughfest’ is set to take place on Saturday, July 27 – with visitors able to enjoy musical fun from midday until 8pm at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens in Spalding.
The new music festival, which has been organised by Mark Le Sage in conjunction with Spalding Town Forum, will feature a range of different stalls, vintage fair rides, face painters and traditional games.
Mark said: “We are really pleased that we’ve been able to work with the Spalding Town Forum, Ayscoughfee Hall and Gardens and the Cafe to put it on.
“It’s very positive for Spalding and i’m hoping it’ll be something we can expand on in the next five years.
“A couple of the bands who were lined up can’t make it and another one cancelled so Zebra have decided to step in last minute to help out.
“Having a general election whilst arranging it has put a little bit of pressure on us but we are very grateful for everyone that has helped us.”
There will be eight artists performing at the event and Meg McPartlin will be opening the stage from 12pm and then also playing outside the Red Lion Pub in the town centre from 8.30pm.
You can also enjoy watching The Reckless perform at 1pm, Ryan Moody from 2pm, The Rock School Bus at 3pm, The Take Note Choir from 4pm, The Bare Minimum at 5pm, Stephen Tanner and his band at 6pm and Zebra from 7pm.
