South Holland District Council planning committee is recommended to approve battery box plans in Spalding and Holbeach

Six new battery boxes could be installed in sites across the area if plans are given the green light this week.

AMP Clean Energy has submitted a number of planning applications to South Holland District Council to construct micro energy storage facilities at sites in Spalding and Holbeach.

A battery box is the size of two car parking spaces and can store enough power to feed 200 homes for four hours after taking the energy from the National Grid.
