Holbeach Music and Beer Festival this weekend
Amazing acts and tasty drinks will be on offer when this year’s seventh Holbeach Music & Beer Festival kicks off on Friday... but there’s so much more than booze and tunes on offer.
The much-loved three-day festival returns this weekend after last year’s event was cancelled due to Covid-19, and thousands of revellers are looking forward to the beach party-themed fun.
Gates open at 4pm on Friday, where bands include young covers outfit The Decades, indie anthem kings Revolver, Queen tribute Flash and headliners The Kopycat Killers.
On Saturday, gates open at noon and there are a selection of local bands on stage before Coldplace and Bon Giovi, whereas ever-popular 80s act The Wildboys headline on Sunday, supported by The Upbeat Beatles.
Each night will be rounded off with a one-hour DJ Saint set outside the main beer tent... and there’s 38 different beers and ciders on offer from local breweries and further afield.
As well as great music and drinks, there’s a free surf simulator (sponsored by Travel By Inspire), free festival entry for under-12s plus free children’s entertainment supported by the ‘Holbeach Town Improvement Plan’.
Three days of children’s entertainment inclides circus workshops with juggling, stilt and tightrope walking, clowning and acrobatics. They can take part in Wacky Racers, join a Bubble Massive Workshops and there’s a free sand pit for the younger ones.
There’s free parking at the venue, and if you live in Holbeach, travelling is no problem as there is a free town shuttle bus provided by GDS Travel, collecting passengers on the hour every hour from the bus stop opposite Co-Op in High Street.
And if you want the full festival experience, you can camp for the weekend!
Organiser Sean Taylor said: “We’ve had unprecedented ticket sales since the unlocking of restrictions and we are anticipating 4-5,000 guests per day.
“Thank you to all our sponsors. The support is overwhelming and we believe our team has put together our biggest and best festival ever. The team are ready, the beers are ready, the food is ready, all the acts are confirmed and we’ve already started setting up the at the venue.”

HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT
Aware of the amount of single use disposable plastic cups thrown away during each festival and conscious of the environmental impact this has on the planet, the festival team has decided to make a change in 2021.
Drinks will no longer be served in single-use cups and polycarbonate pint and half-pint cups will be used, with reusable two pint cups £2 each.
COVID-AWARE
The Holbeach Music & Beer Festival is a Covid-aware event, having completed the government’s mass gathering risk assessment and been graded 'amber'.
Lincolnshire Public Health will be in attendance with their Roving Testing Unit. Testing is not a requirement to attend the festival, but the team are here to support the festival, offer supervised tests and answer any questions on vaccination and testing.
