Holbeach beacon was lit to mark 80th anniversary of VE Day

A town’s beacon blazed to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

The Holbeach branch of the Royal Observer Corps Association ensured that the town’s beacon had been light on Thursday last week to commemorate this important anniversary.

Entertainment had been provided on the beacon site, which sits between Wignal’s Gate and Spalding Road, on the evening.
