Beautiful butterfly among eyecatching displays to welcome visitors to Spalding Flower Parade

Visitors to Spalding’s Flower Parade will be greeted by some beautiful blooms this weekend - including this delightful butterfly.

The two-day bonanza looks set to draw the crowds once again, after last year’s relaunch.

And to add some extra colour to the place, volunteers have been out an about putting some finishing touches to the area.

As well as the town centre bunting and facelifts to the empty Calthrops building and Ye Olde White Horse pub, grassy areas near the bus station have also been given amakeover.

This beautiful butterfly, placed on land between the bus station and Sainsbury’s catches the eye, while bright planters have also been given some TLC.

The parade will begin from 11am from the Castle Sports Complex on Saturday while Sunday will see a family fun day held at the complex.
