Book fairies from Spalding's Ayscoughfee Hall School

‘Book fairies’ from Ayscoughfee Hall School are leaving packages of books around Spalding.

Tied with green ribbon and with a card, they will be hidden in plain sight around town.

Head teacher Theresa Wright said: "The book fairy initiative started in 2020 but just as we collected book donations from our children we entered the first lockdown.

"We planned to try again last academic year but Covid always seemed to intervene. But now we’re good to go and so excited.

"The books have been supplemented by donations from our school library and will be hidden by our librarians, Anna and Georgina and our Kindness Ambassadors, Jenna and Molly.

"All we ask is that if you find a package of books, having enjoyed them, you hide them for someone else to find or donate to a charity shop in town."
