Tydd St Mary nurse and friends will be donning inflatable boob costumes to run around Wisbech for a good cause
Inflatable boob costumes will be adding an extra dimension to a marathon challenge being taken on by four friends.
Debbie Agger, Tracy Adams and Tracey Else will be supported by Tracy Pratt, the Tydd St Mary nurse who has incurable cancer and is fighting for fair access to a drug, when they run 26 miles around Wisbech later this month.
The group will be starting off their challenge with the Wisbech Parkrun before hitting the streets of Wisbech, Wisbech St Mary and Walsoken in order to raise money for Make Seconds Count, a secondary breast cancer charity.
Tracy P, will be supporting on her bike, said of the costumes: “We have put them on and had a practice but you can’t see your feet in them. I don’t want anyone falling over. If we can get the parkrun in the costume and then deflate them to see where they are running.
“Myself and Debbie have always said we wanted to do a marathon and never got around to it. When I got my secondary diagnosis I was told that I couldn’t run any more so that was it. Debbie wanted to a marathon but didn’t want to do it without me.
“At the running club Christmas party we came up with the idea of doing it locally so I could take part.
“My job will be call out holes, and kerbs as they can’t see their feet.”
A Just Giving page has been set-up and you can support the quartet by clicking here.
