Lorry’s burst tyre caused A16 part closure at Surfleet

Police say that the closure of part of the A16 last night was caused by a lorry suffering from a burst tyre.

Officers shut the northbound section of the road at the A152 roundabout in Surfleet just before 7pm last night (Sunday June 16).

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “We received a call that a lorry had a burst tyre and the road needed to be closed while this was replaced for the workers’ and other road user’s safety.”

Southbound traffic was still able to get around the lorry.

The road was reopened at 7.44pm.
