Spalding Common care home opens up again for summer fete
Residents at Fenchurch House Care Home in Spalding Common were delighted to welcome friends, family and visitors to their summer fete.
Visitors enjoyed stalls, games and refreshments and entertainment by guitarist Antonio as the home opened for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.
There was a variety of refreshments and a barbecue provided by the home's catering team.
Home manager Nike Ajewole said: “We had a wonderful afternoon. We’d like to thank everyone who came along and supported our event. We were so pleased to open our doors for the first time since the pandemic and are very grateful for each person who came to celebrate our beautiful home and residents.
"Our residents had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed seeing lots of people in the garden, enjoying the music and sunshine."
The event was organised by Wellbeing coordinator Fawzia Giga who was delighted with the turnout and family atmosphere. “It’s great to be able to welcome people back to our home, it’s so important for our residents to feel part of the community and we hope to have lots more events like this in the future.”
