Cars and caravans destroyed in Crowland blaze

Cars and caravans were destroyed in a large blaze in a south Lincolnshire town last night (Wednesday) after a planned burn of waste paper got out of control.

Crews from Crowland, Market Deeping, Spalding, Bourne and Dogsthorpe in Cambridgeshire were called to Common Drove in Crowland at 6.03pm.

There was severe fire damage to three cars, two caravans and conifer trees. This was caused by a controlled burn of waste paper spreading.
