Gosberton Academy hosts Christmas Fair and pupils enjoy festive lunch and panto visit

Gosberton Academy’s PTFA hosted their annual Christmas Fair after missing out last year because of Covid-19.

With more than 20 external stalls and many more school-led stalls, there was much to do for all ages and head teacher Tom Baxter said:“It was another fantastic event and one that was very enjoyable.”

The event was a huge success and included a fantastic raffle with 25 amazing prizes, including some donated by local businesses and individuals. Five of the prizes were donated by the parents to create ‘Coloured Hampers’ as each of the five classes were assigned a colour to create a colour-specific hamper.

Mr Baxter also commented on the amount of people visiting the event, saying, “It was great to see so many of our families there having fun and enjoying themselves but it was equally enjoyable to see members of the local community and some prospective parents there too.”

As a result of everybody’s fantastic support, the Gosberton Academy PTFA were able to raise £1,677 at the Christmas Fair.

The PTFA also funded a visit to Blackfriars Theatre in Boston to watch the pantomime, Dick Whittington and also purchased a Christmas lunch for all pupils who wanted one.
