Christmas fun at Tydd St Mary Primary School
Pupils at Tydd St Mary Primary School had a wonderful time in the run-up to Christmas.
They enjoyed a music extravaganza, a Christingle service, festive bingo, a film night, disco, nativity play, panto and a visit from Santa.
The music extravaganza saw them playing Christmas tunes and singing Christmas songs for their families by candlelight, while the PTA served mulled wine and homemade mince pies.
Children demonstrated their skill and talents on clarinets, saxophones, violins, cellos and 'boomwhackers', and solo performances brought tears to the eye.
The nativity, Baarmy Bethlehem, was performed for families by children in Toucans and Robins Class over two afternoons. They sang beautifully and all spoke with clear and confident voices, making everyone incredibly proud of them.
On the final day of term Santa visited on his sleigh, bringing the snow and a present for every child in school.
