Cleaning and repair works to Spalding’s Grade I-listed Stone of Remembrance expected to get green light




Cleaning and repair works to Spalding’s Stone of Remembrance are expected to be passed this week.

South Holland District Council’s planning officers have recommended works on the stone get the thumbs up.

“This listed building consent application is for the doff cleaning, re-pointing and repairs to the Stone of Remembrance at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens,” the officer’s report explains.

“The proposed site is the Grade I-listed Spalding War Memorial

South Holland District Council have made the application and the authority’s planning committee will discus it at Wednesday’s meeting.
