South Holland District Council ‘monitoring’ people living in tents along Pinchbeck Road in Spalding

Council bosses say they have asked a group of homeless people living in tents to move on from a town site.

The four tents are thought to have appeared in the last week on land off Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, near the West Elloe Avenue junction.

Residents and passers-by have spotted the individuals at the former outdoor pool site – which is land owned by South Holland District Council.

A spokesperson from the local authority said: “Notices have been issued for people to vacate the site, with our teams continuing to visit and monitor regularly.

“The council will always look to support those wanting help who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, and would ask anyone in this position to contact us as soon as possible via the website, on 01775 761161 or at our Priory Road offices.”
