Details for Spalding’s Christmas Celebration and Light Switch on revealed
Seasonal crafts, live performances and festive fun are in store at a town’s Christmas event.
The Christmas Celebration and Light Switch on, is set to take place on Friday, November 29 in Spalding town centre, between 5pm and 9pm.
Make your own decorations at the Christmas craft station, get on top of your festive shopping with a selection of gift stalls, or treat yourself to some of the seasonal food on offer.
Families will get the chance to meet Tinkerbell and Buddy The Elf, as well as enjoying the live music from school choirs, bands and singers, vintage fair rides and Santa’s grotto.
Why not go all out and get into the Christmas spirit by taking part in the fancy dress competition, organised by South Holland District Council Chairman, Coun Andrew Woolf.
Santa will also be attending the event to switch on the town’s new £70,000 Christmas lights and announce the fancy dress competition winner.
Broad Street Methodist Church will be welcoming visitors to view their decorated tree displays throughout the evening.
The Crescent will be holding it’s own late night shopping event on December 6.
