Double yellow lines painted to improve safety along Spalding road
Double yellow lines have been added to a town centre street in a bid to improve safety.
Lincolnshire County Council have carried out the work on the junction of Halmer Gate and Grange Drive in Spalding following an ‘increased need to improve visibility’.
This is not the first bid to improve safety along the road,
No waiting restrictions were added to Halmer Gate last spring.
“Following investigations… it was found that there is an increased need for restrictions to improve visibility at the junction,” an LCC document explained about this latest move.
“The proposals will remove any parked vehicles and improve visibility and road safety for all users.
“Therefore, in accordance with the county council’s policy, it is proposed to prohibit waiting as set out on the plans to the order.”
