Spalding Flower Parade appreciation event at Sessions House for volunteers
A group of volunteers who helped with a town’s major event have been invited to a thank you evening.
Spalding Flower Parade took place on Saturday, May 10 and attracted thousands of spectators to the town and Springfields Events and Conference Centre.
Flower Queen Erika Yao and her partner Andrew Blach who own Sessions House in Spalding are throwing an appreciation party for volunteers on Friday, May 23, to show gratitude to those who helped with the event.
Erika said: “This evening is our small way of expressing our sincere gratitude for all your wonderful contributions to this year's flower parade.
“Whether you're a volunteer, a dedicated committee member, business that generously sponsored the parade, or kindly contributed flowers for the floats, your support has been invaluable, and we'd love to raise a glass to you.”
New volunteers are also being encouraged to join the ‘flower parade family’ and can get in touch with volunteer lead Tanya Chandler at https://www.facebook.com/tanya.wilsonchandler.
The drinks evening will include complimentary Prosecco and wine and starts at 5.30pm until 9pm.
Erika and Andrew moved in to the historic building last year and use the stunning former courthouse for weddings and events.
Erika added: “We won't say no to any snacks you wish to bring to share.
“We truly look forward to celebrating with you and sharing our thanks in person.”
Guests are able to book a free ticket to present on arrival.
