Gedney Drove End explosion - three men taken to hospital by ambulance
Paramedics treated three men at the scene of an explosion in Gedney Drove End today before they were taken to two city hospitals, it has emerged.
The incident happened in Dawsmere Road , near Gedney Drove End Village Hall, just before 10.50am today (Saturday, October 17).
One man suffered serious injuries, but no life-threatening, while the other two men had injuries that were reported as less serious.
An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received a call to report a medical emergency and sent a paramedic in a fast response car and two double-crewed ambulances.
"Two air ambulances were also in attendance.
"One patient was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre via double-crewed ambulance, a second patient was taken to Peterborough City Hospital via double-crewed ambulance and a third patient made their own way to Peterborough City Hospital.”
