Dishonoured DVD out now

A feature-film made in South Holland starring local actors is now available to buy on DVD for the first time.

Copies of action/thriller Dishonoured, produced by the Holbeach Film Company, went on sale yesterday (Wednesday) and can be bought online and in a few shops across the district.

The film’s audio soundtrack, which features music by local acts including singer/songwriter Meg McPartlin, is also for sale.

Holbeach director, producer and actor Steph Genovese, who set up the film company, said it’s taken a while to bring the movie to a wider audience, but he’s delighted it’s finally available.

“We’ve been in talks with various companies and distributors, which all takes time, but now we’ve got our first run of DVDs available, with a limited edition which can be signed too,” said Steph, who has appeared in Sky Atlantic’s series Fortitude and the 2017 Transformers: The Last Knight movie.

“And if demand continues, I’m sure we’ll go ahead with a second run. Since Dishonoured premiered we’ve been inundated with requests to buy it - everyone from those who were involved and supported us, to those who were unable to get tickets for the showing, which sold out.

“As well as DVDs and soundtracks, there are also a few little extras including key rings and medallions available online too.”

Steph set up the Holbeach Film Company so he could give himself a break and help others get involved in the professional film industry locally, rather than have to travel to London all the time.

He works with a team of actors and behind the scenes professionals who all give up their time free of charge to work on the company’s productions.

Filming on its second feature Forever Your Rose is currently under way in Hunstanton, after which Steph hopes to secure investment to help make a Dishonoured sequel.
