Large fire in Long Sutton

Firefighters from three counties tackled a blaze in Long Sutton last night (Tuesday) at around midnight.

Crews from Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire battled a fire in High Street which had engulfed a large detached garage, an adjoining living area and three cars.

The crews, from Long Sutton, Holbeach, Spalding, Wisbech, Terrington and West Walton, were supported by a command support unit and pump from Market Rasen. Officers also attended the incident.

They used three main jets, two hose reels and four sets of breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
