Smalley Hot Tub Services in Pinchbeck, takes the plunge with new showroom opening

A business which started ‘out of the blue’ during lockdown, celebrates four years by opening a new showroom.

Justine and Chris Smalley of Smalley Hot Tub Services, say they feel ‘terrified but excited’ as they prepare for their next big milestone.

The couple will be hosting a showroom open day on Saturday, September 7 at the businesses new site at Unit 6 in the Flaxmill, Pinchbeck.

After looking for something to keep them busy during lockdown and noticing a gap in the market, Justine and Chris never thought their business idea would flourish the way it did. Justine said: “It just happened out of the blue, it was a case of the right place, right time.

“Chris began working with inflatable hot tubs after he was put on furlough from the Navy. He started doing repairs for friends and other people in our area.

“We noticed that everyone was buying hot tubs during lockdown because they weren’t able to go on holiday but no one was offering a service to fix them – and there was a gap in the market which we were willing to go into.

“We soon became inundated with people wanting repairs and decided to go full time with it.

“We are really excited about the move and if we want the business to go to the next level, it’s the next logical step for us to do – I just think, go big or go home.”

The business was previously located in Unit 3 of the Flaxmill site, but moving into a bigger space for customers to visit was always on the cards.

Visitors will be able to grab a slice of cake, enjoy a glass of wine or beer and have a look at the several hot tubs on display.

Justine added: “We want people to just come and celebrate this milestone with us and it’s also a way for us to say thank you for all of the support we get from friends, family and the customers we work with.

“I’m just really excited and having a showroom is a really big deal for us so we are both very nervous too.”
