Waterside Garden Centre, in Baston, near Peterborough closed on Wednesday by flooding from River Glen after Storm Henk downpours
A garden centre has been forced to close its doors after it was hit by flooding from Storm Henk.
Waterside Garden Centre, in Baston, told customers via its website and Facebook the business would be closed on Wednesday as a result of Tuesday’s torrential downpours.
No timeframe has been put on its reopening, with the King Street business promising to update customers with further information.
Waterside is located next to the River Glen, with the Environment Agency issuing a flood warning for nearby Kate’s Bridge on Tuesday evening.

Although the rainfall associated with the storm has mostly fallen, river levels there were forecast to continue to rise through Wednesday.
Baston resident Robin Jones said the flooding was unprecedented.
“In nearly 26 years of living in the locality, I've never experienced anything like the magnitude of these floods,” he said.
“I have never seen heavy rain cause King Street dyke to overflow, let alone close King Stree which is a Roman road on a raised embankment.”
In a statement at Wednesday lunchtime, Lincolnshire Police said areas around neighbouring villages of Greatford and Thurlby would continued to be monitored.
The White Lion pub in Whissendine, in Rutland, was also forced to close on Tuesday night and into Wednesday after being affected by flooding for the second time in three months.
