Moulton Chapel flower parade drew in crowds with good weather bringing spectators out
The sun was shining on a popular village parade which drew a bumper crowd over the weekend.
People lined the streets to cheer as Moulton Chapel Flower Parade snaked its way around the village on Sunday.
Along with youngsters from Moulton Chapel Primary School and the village royals, the parade also included Pinchbeck Carnival and Spalding Flower Parade’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car.
Ghostbusters and Matilda themed floats entertained the crowds who also admired the tractors and classic cars. Members of 1st Moulton and Whaplode Scout Group were also out in force.
Secretary Karen Hemmant said: “The good weather brought everyone out.
“The event has continued for 40 years and we hope that the youngsters have good memories of it as I did when I was a child.
“It is a community event and reflects village life.”
Visitors could get involved by entering a cake contest and scarecrow competition.
The small dedicated committee plan the flower festival and parade a year in advance and included a variety of floats plus entertainment and refreshments.
