The protective work follows on from a specialist clean and structural and render analysis of the memorial, that took place in the summer last year.

There are also plans to repair and rebuild the brickwork. This is hoped to start during the drier months later this year.

South Holland District Council have thanked residents for their patience and support on a social media post.
