BBC’s Gardeners’ World finalists set to open award winning garden for charity

Finalists from a popular gardening show will showcase their skills and knowledge to visitors at this charity event.

After making the final five of BBC television series, Gardeners’ World in 2018, Rob and Claire Bailey Scott will be taking part in the charity open garden day on Sunday, July 28, between 11am and 5pm.

The green-fingered duo at Yew Tree Farm in Gosberton have also previously won the Daily Mail garden of the year in 2019 and were crowned Eastern Regional finalists for the nations favourite garden in 2023.

Rob said: “For me it’s the best day of the year. To have all of those people coming through the gates to see your garden – it is lovely.

“It is our seventh year doing it and everyone is so nice and we will be raising money for charity along the way – I just love doing it.”

The couple’s award winning country garden includes large herbaceous and mixed boarders, a wildlife pond with two bog gardens, a woodland space and shaded borders with many unusual plants. There is also a reflective pool, orchard, wildlife meadow and vegetable plot.

Rob and Claire will be serving teas, coffees and cakes and there will be plants for sale and a violinist. Refreshments will cost £5 and all of the money will go towards charity.
