South Holland District Council’s appeal to help binmen in the heat

Residents are asked to get their refuse bags out earlier to help the area’s bin men in the heat.

South Holland District Council says its collections will be starting from 5am tomorrow as an amber heat warning is in place for this area.

Temperatures are set to reach around 30C tomorrow (Friday, June 20) which has prompted UK Health Security Agency to issue the warning.

“To ensure your waste is collected, please present by 5am on the morning of collection.

“Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our crews safe.”
